today, i met a 22-year-old japanese guy who responded to my post for language exchange at the international house. For the first time, may na-met ako na mas bata pa sa akin sa ani nga activity. Conversing with this soon-to-be-dentist was really cool.
First and foremost, the 1,000,000 US Dollar cost of education for becoming a doctor or a dentist in particular here in Japan. I don't know whether it is indeed true, but that's what he said... And of course, my reaction was inexplainable. heheh... Mitukar na sad ang pagka-ignoy ni Romsil. pero imagine???? the 100 Million Yen or 1 Million US Dollar cost of becoming a doctor or a dentist? Maka-imagine mo nga mosugot ako mama or papa ana? hahahh... it's like winning a mega-lotto diha sa Pinas di ba? makapanguros man sad ta ana kapila sa isa ka adlaw... heheh.. pasalamat na lang ko naay UP and kadtong presidential scholarship, kay kung wala pa.... ambot... hahahahh!!! bitaw, after hearing that and after composing myself from the shock, i said to him with all the seriousness i could master that i salute and bow down to his parents.... and i said that he better study hard and make it as a successful dentist.... even if he is the only child sa iya family, that amount of money is (really)x10000X too much....
second thing, this soon-to-be-dentist has been training to become an announcer, mura extra-curricular activity niya. Announcer? Unsa man na nga announcer? Hehehe... wala jud ko idea at first. pero sa dihang nag-sample na sya... waaaahhh... i understood completely... It's like perfection of speech pero in Nihongo and for the Japanese people. heheh... I can't explain any further... lisud... heheh.. Basta, I was amazed, because he sampled to me using the advertisement texts in McDonalds unya, the effect sa akoa was like I was transported to another place... ehhehe.... basta... heheh...
anyway, lingaw kay from 3 pm, 7 pm ba naman mi nahuman ug istorya. (it reminds me of my conversations with my dear friends in cebu. oh gosh! those were the days....) we talked a lot, and funny ayo kay iya mama sige daw text sa iya... sige daw gihapon treat sa iya as if kid pa sya... hahahah... natural no? only child gud! unya 1-Million Dollar pa ang gasto pa-eskwela... maski ako pud uy, kung ako ang tatay, ako na gyung gi-takin2x ning bataa.. hahahah!!!
4 hours of talk.... and almost everything in Nihongo.... not bad isn't it?? i'm making progress na gyud siguro with the language... :)
Sa lain na sang istorya, (yupp, wa pa ko nahuman, daghan pa!!!), i got invited by my language partner/friend Hiromi sa salo-salo niya with her friends/barkada last night. The "party" was held in one of the izakaya(Japanese pub) houses in Tennoji, directly above the eki where you can see the trains passing by right under you. Pabaga na lang gyud ko ug nawong... maski ako lang ang nalahi didto, ako lang ang dili part sa ila circle, bahala.. heehhe... ako lang pud ang foreigner... heheh... baga gyud... Anyway, i first met Hiromi last Saturday sa Toyonaka Bochi Bochi Nihongo class. It was her first time there, and since abtik lagi usahay, nagka-pangayuay ug email, then timing-an sad kay she was looking for a language exchange partner, nagka-set dayun ug date pagka-next day... And meeting her for the language exchange was indeed fun... (heheh, mura always ra lagi ko fun... heheh... naa ra man siguro na sa tao no? depende ra gyud na sa tao kung lingaw ikauban.. heheh..) She has just arrived from Canada, after spending time there for 1 year. Na-bored daw yata sya with her life here in Japan, and wanted to learn something new, and so she decided na mag-work sa Canada. It was a good way to learn English daw pud... Yeah that's why her English is good na for daily conversations... And she wants to keep that so there I enter the picture.. heheh... She had 2 Filipino co-workers in Starbucks, and they were so kind to her daw and so, thanks to them, it was easy for me, hehhehe, wala pa gani ko nag-istorya, good impression na.... wahhahhha!!!
Anyway, i hope we could really be friends... Her friends during the party were all kind and friendly... dili kanang sige lang smile smile unya dili makilabot, kundi kanang ma-feel gyud nimo ila pagka accommodating and feel gyud nimo na welcome ka ba... lingaw... i'm hoping for more meetings.... :D
And about that Tom Cruise thing... hmmm... ask Cating na lang... heheh... ulaw ulaw pa daw kunuhay ko... wahhaah!!!... basta, nag-alinlangan gyud ug sulti sila and even consulted Hiromi if it's OK to tell me about that thing... wahhahh!!!... Kulbaan pa ko kung unsa man kaha.. Sus, that Tom Cruise thing na sad... Ingon na lang ko, na dili ko motuo ana... heheheh... pa-humble humble pa kunuhay... I told them na guba lang guro inyo mga mata... :D Hahah... (ting, pasagdai imo friend... heheh)
anyways, diri sa lang... more to come... :)
