chasing summer

japan is so clean cut! if it's summer they'll have these festivals and grand fireworks events happening almost every week to celebrate the season. last friday we went to the tenjin festival just to see the fireworks display and to see how the people of osaka do their equivalent of cebu's sinulog. and then last night, we went to kobe to see the annual fireworks display at the Kobe Port. it was awesome and our spot was just perfect. kobe is indeed the place to be in japan!

next week would be osaka's turn with its annual fireworks event to be held near the Yodo River with the city skyline as the backdrop. then on august 12, we are going to another event in tokyo bay area. yes, that too is still about fireworks! with all the heat in the summer, at least these magical shows in the sky offer the much-needed consolation for people who have been ranting about life!
